2022 Redwood Coast Kite Festival

The Redwood Coast Kite Festival is planned for May 21 and 22, 2022. In collaborative efforts with Artists and galleries associated with the Ink People, Kites as Art installations are being displayed in Old Town Eureka. The Redwood Coast Kite Festival will be a free public event held along the Humboldt Bay waterfront. Along with the Festival, there will be an Artisans Fair. The Humboldt Kite Festival is a family friendly event & all are welcome to attend!
The festival will be an alcohol & drug free event.
Please, no unauthorized drones.

Kiting & kite creation is an art form, filling the skies with color & shapes & employing skills of science, technology, art & mathematics. It encourages creativity in all ages & skill levels. Since Spring of 2019, a small & growing group of kiters have been flying from Halverson Park in Eureka & all above Humboldt County. Throughout the week, if the weather is windy enough, we’re flying kites, lifting spirits & having fun!
