2026 Redwood Coast Kite Festival – Events Schedule for Saturday & Sunday
The Community Flying Field
This field will be open to the public, families and children from 10AM to 4PM Saturday & Sunday.
Kids’ Kite Making
From 10am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday there will be free kites for kids to build and decorate. This is while supplies last. After making and decorating their kites, kids can fly them in the community field.
Kids’ Candy Drop
The Kids’ Candy Drop is an event where candy is dropped from a large kite.
Starts at 1PM & ends at 2PM, Saturday and Sunday.
We will have 2 Candy Drops each day, one for big kids & one for the little kids.
Performance Field
The Performance Field offers a variety of kite flying performances.
Kite Ballet performed by Quad and Dual line kite flyers are synchronized to music.
The area will also be mass ascensions of different kites like animal kites, box kites and delta kites.
The Kids’ Candy Drop also occurs in this field.
The Performance Field is active 10AM to 4PM on Saturday & Sunday
Mega-Fly Finale
All the performance quad-string kite flyers flying together 4PM Saturday & Sunday.
Giant Kite Area
Giant Kite viewing from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday and to 4PM Sunday. Please use the
walkways and stay off the Giant kite fields.
Artisans, Vendors and Food Trucks
The artisans, vendors and Food Truck areas open at 10AM, closes at 4PM both days.
