Redwood Coast Kite Festival 2026
Vendor Artisan Application Process
We anticipate the number of interested Artists will be high for this 2 day opportunity, Saturday & Sunday, May 17 & 18, 2026. The 10×10 spaces can be reserved for a donation of $50 a day or $90 for the weekend as long as they are available. It is recommended that interested persons complete the application sooner rather than later. The number of vendor/display spots will be limited given the space allowed is anticipated to be the grassy space between the Bonnie Gould Auditorium and Waterfront Walk (adjacent to the Adorni Center, Eureka).
Good things Applicants need to know:
- Request application
- Submit application (deadline is April 29, 2026).
- Application reviews (by April 29).
- Letters of acceptance/status are to be sent out May 1, 2026.
- Vendor selection and acceptance correspondence from RCKF will include an invoice and manner to pay for the Vendor spot(s) for the Artisan Fair; times to set up and operate at the fair; and similar information.
- Artists will have a 10×10 feet of space for use at the fair.
- Spaces can be reserved for a donation of $50 a day or $90 for the week as long as they are available. Instructions on paying the registration fee will be included in your vendor registration acceptance letter as long as spaces last.
- Indicate if you are seeking both days for the Fair or only one day. If one day, state which day, May 18 or May 19.
- Artisans and display vendors will receive notice of acceptance by May 1, 2026.
- It is our hope to be able to accept all applicants however, due to the yet unknown number of interested persons at this time, it is too soon to determine our ability to accept all comers. So we encourage you to get your application in as early as possible.
- Email communication regarding application process and status: RedwoodCoastKiteFestival@HumboldtKiters.org
Selected Artisans Only: City requires hold harmless liability waiver completed by artisans.
1. You can purchase a temporary business license by quarter. You can email redwoodcoastkitefestival@humboldtkiters.org with your license number once you’ve completed that process. https://www.eurekaca.gov/426/Business-License
2. Liability insurance is required. For insurance reasons, we have to require a Certificate of Liability from vendors that list a minimum of $1,000,000 (one million) limits from every vendor in the name of the Ink People. In case you do not already have a liability insurance provider, they have provided this resource: http://www.actinsurance.com, which offers show policies starting at $49.
Please have the certificate of additional insured sent to: redwoodcoastkitefestival@humboldtkiters.org
Remember: the last day applications will be accepted is April 29, 2026.
Thank you for your interest!
NOTES:
- There is no electricity available for vendors. You may bring your own.
- All canopies MUST be weighted or staked to the ground. Preferably both. This is no joke. Ask me about the time that my canopy got overly involved in the festival and tried to become a kite.
- It can and probably WILL BE very windy. It may also rain. This event will not be canceled due to weather, and refunds will not be given less than two weeks before the event.
- Products with political statements or agendas are not welcome at this event. While we appreciate the current political climate, the Kite Festival is a neutral ground and campaigning will not be tolerated.
- This is a family event. Vendors should reflect a family friendly atmosphere (no smoking accessories). Please conduct yourself appropriately. There will be no smoking or vaping of any type on event property.
- Vendors will be required to sign a Hold Harmless Waiver for the City of Eureka and The Ink People.
