2024 Redwood Coast Kite Festival – Events Schedule for Saturday & Sunday

Kids Kite Making and Family/Public Flying and Come Fly With Us
Kids’ Kite Making is open at 10 AM and will close at 1:00 PM
Depending on demand, the Kids’Kite Making area may re-open after the kids events described below.

The Family Flying Field will be open to the public, families and children from 10:00AM to 5:00 PM.

Come Fly With Us
Want to fly a kite? After seeing all the kites in the air, it’s natural to want to do it yourself. Join us from
Noon to 1:30 near the center stage and experienced kite flyers will fly a kite with you.

Kids’ Candy Drop (an event where candy is dropped from a large kite) starts at Noon and ends at 1:30
PM. There will be three (3) separate candy drops based on age group: ages 3-5, 6-9, and 10-12.

Performances

Kite Ballet performed by Quad and Dual line kite flyers are synchronized to music. The area will also be
used for Come Fly With Us.

Kite performances with dual and quad line kites.
10:00AM to Noon
1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, 1:30 to 3:00 on Sunday

MegaFly Finale – All the performance kite flyers flying together 4:00 Saturday and 3:00 Sunday.

Giant Kite Area
Giant Kite viewing from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and to 4:00 PM Sunday. Please use the
walkways and stay off the Giant kite fields.

Awards and Recognition
Saturday, at 12:45, there will a special awards and recognition ceremony.

Artisans, Vendors and Food Trucks
The artisans, vendors and Food Truck areas open at 10:00AM, closes at 5:00PM both days.
